Absolutely not. This course is designed for complete beginners. Mike has 10 years of teaching experience and will guide you step by step and make sure you understand all the language and technicalities.

This course keeps growing! Every time Mike produces a lesson on a new edimental species, it gets added to the course. You can just watch the lessons on the species you're interested in.

Growing food has always been a very time intensive activity. The allotment style gardens of our grandparents took countless hours of weeding, sowing and watering. This course focuses largely on perennial species (plants which live for years) so you'll be able to follow the Garden Footprint motto - Plant Once, Harvest Forever!

Food is getting increasingly expensive. Planting just one apple tree can save you £2000+ over the life of the tree. Imagine if you planted unusual and tasty edibles that you can't even buy at the shops! Mulberries, saskatoons, loquats - Depending on your final planting scheme this could save tens of thousands!

No, it's not a design course. However, you will learn how big each species gets and where it should be sited in a garden. In this sense, it will inform your garden design through appropriate planting plans, but it won't lead you through the design process. If you want to place species accurately on a garden plan, then check out the 'Create an Accurate Garden Plan' course, which works nicely in conjunction with this one. 

When friends and family come over for dinner, you'll WOW them with delicious food they've never even heard of! Mealtimes will become far more interesting (and healthy!)
